Contests: 2nd Annual Art Contest

We are so excited to announce our 2nd annual SETHSA Art Contest coming this June at our 2010 SETHSA Conference. Last year's contest was a great success. Around 20 students submitted their art work for exhibit at the conference. We want to encourage students of all ages to take part in this year's contest. With homeschool students the possibilities are endless as they will have the opportunity to exercise their individuality and creativity.

Students need to finalize their art entry quickly! Conference will be here very soon. We have several more contestants than last year. So, this year's competition should be very exciting.

Here are the guidelines:

1. Maximum size : 24 inches x 30 inches
2. Subject : You may choose any subject as long as it is not morally offensive to the viewers. Obviously, no nude or otherwise questionable material will be permitted. All entries are subject to SETHSA's discretion. Our board will have the final say on whether an entry can be displayed.
3. Three Categories: K-4th grade, 5th-8th grades & 9th-12th grades.
4. Media : Painting, Drawing, Photography & Sculpture.
5. Mounting (except Sculptures) - Affix to solid matting with hanger or Place within a simple frame so it can be hung on partitions
6. All artwork must be dropped off at the SETHSA booth within our hall at the HBU Campus, Sharp Gym, on Thursday, June 3, between 10 am and 2 pm. The artwork will be available for pickup on Saturday, June 5, after 3 pm. Any artwork not picked up on Saturday will be discarded, as SETHSA will not have the ability to transport them or pay the postage to ship them.
7. Photography should not be computer enhanced nor extracted as still-frame from within a video
8. Judges will review & provide secret ballots to SETHSA. Winners will be announced on Saturday afternoon; winning artwork must still be present to be awarded their prize.

Space for this year's competition is full; so, we will not be accepting any new entry registrations.

Prizes and Trophies will be awarded.
